How does social media fit into your swinger
life?
by
Social media has taken over our lives. It seems no matter what you do, where you
go or who you are with the potential of something being posted on a social media outlet about
you is pretty great.
It seems most couples lately have swinger profiles on one social media site or another. Many have couple profiles, but
essentially one is the primary user. Since many popular sites are open to all ages, nudity is simply
not allowed. For swingers, sharing their interests and lives, this is a difficult rule to
follow. 'Secret' groups on Facebook or using other sites such as Tumblr, Twitter, ect. have helped some with this issue as well as some privacy concerns. But
how safe are these if you use your real name?
Using a fake name has become an alternative some have chosen to keep identities
safe from prying eyes. Being somewhat incognito on social media is tricky. Facebook, for example, doesn't like fake names. If you are the unlucky person of the
day your account could be shut down and you will have no way to prove your identity. You must be
careful when using a fake name. With the ever changing platforms social media uses, our history is
forever recorded. If you cross those two names, even by accident, you may inadvertently outted
yourself....to the world.
Some couples create two profiles with real and/or fake names. One which is
family friendly and one that is lifestlye oriented. It's a good idea keeping these two lives separate in
social media. But there are always those couples who choose to mix the two and will post inappropriate
information or pictures to you or on your private/family profile. Keep in mind that not everyone cares
about your privacy. Some people are better left as non-social media friends. It's personal and if
they don't understand, you might want to consider their lack of discretion in other areas as well.
I can't possibly keep up with all social media sites. This same goes for
the multitude of swinger dating websites available. Social media has become an important part of
swinger dating. A little social media stalking is good to find out who you
might potentially date/fuck/friend.
Will social media platforms replace the swinger dating sites or will the two eventually become interchangable? I suggest
finding a place for both in your life, but maintain careful protection of yourself with both. I
suggest you pick one swinger name and only join, post and use this one name everywhere. This will
provide that as your swinger identity, help you create a
presence in the swinger/social media community and still keep your private life separate.
One downfall to those of us who attempt to maintain two separate
names/lives/profiles is facial recognition. I do believe one day this will prevent all of us from keeping
ourselves hidden.
Social media has been an awesome advance for the swinger lifestyle, but eventually technology may become a huge hindrance in the lifestyle.
Comments:
- Social media is an important part of my lifestyle life. I was out of the
lifestyle for some years and got back into it last year. Hook ups that I wouldnt of had if it werent for social
media. You can find peopl with like minded tastes. I have also gotten to know a lot of people both non vanilla
and vinilla throuhg social media. So I would say that social media is an important part of a swingers life
(style).
- I don't think that a good social platform for swingers exists yet, that is
why you see swingers using traditional social sites. This is why it can lead to our swinger life crossing into
our vanilla part.. You would think with all the different swing sites on the net that someone would create just
one really good social site that we all could connect on.
